During this early phase, it focused on fostering connections among Iranian-Americans and raising awareness about the political situation in Iran.Reorganization and Growth (2006): In 2006, NUFDI underwent a significant reorganization, transforming into a more structured and impactful advocacy group. This marked a shift towards actively lobbying the U.S. government and international bodies to adopt policies supporting the Iranian people's aspirations for freedom and democracy.
